SORDI Participates in Puntland Immunization Strategy 2026–2030 Workshop

Puntland’s immunization strategy for the next five years is being shaped through a two-day situational analysis workshop in Garowe, with SORDI participating alongside health-sector partners and stakeholders. The Situational Analysis Workshop for the Puntland Immunization Strategy 2026–2030 was opened by the Puntland Ministry of Health and brings together stakeholders to review the current state of immunization in Puntland and identify priorities for the years ahead. The workshop provides an opportunity to look closely at what is working, where gaps remain, and what needs to change to strengthen immunization planning and delivery. SORDI is contributing to the process through its focus on research, evidence generation, and knowledge sharing, supporting efforts to develop a strategy that responds to the current needs of Puntland’s immunization programme. A clear understanding of the current situation is an important starting point for effective planning. The discussions in Garowe will help inform the development of the Puntland Immunization Strategy 2026–2030 and contribute to stronger immunization systems and improved public health outcomes. SORDI is pleased to be part of this process and looks forward to continued collaboration with the Puntland Ministry of Health, partners, and other stakeholders working to strengthen immunization and public health in Puntland.
