The Private Sector Partnerships in Health (PSPH) project, implemented by the Somali Research and Development Institute (SORDI), DT Global, and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH), supported Royal Care Hospital in hosting a significant networking event on January 24, 2025, in Borame. Funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), this initiative aimed to enhance collaboration and strengthen the healthcare ecosystem in Somaliland.

The gathering brought together 60 representatives from private health facilities, regional health authorities, and Borame Regional Hospital. Key attendees included senior representatives from institutions such as Adal Hospital, Awdal Hospital, Horn Hospital, Hayat Hospital, and Daryeel Clinic, along with the PSPH field team and other private healthcare providers.

The successful event reinforced Royal Care Hospital’s role as a trusted leader in healthcare, paving the way for:

  • Enhanced Coordination: Improved collaboration among healthcare providers is expected to lead to better patient outcomes across the region.

  • Strengthened Healthcare Ecosystem: The partnerships formed are poised to drive sustainable improvements in healthcare access and quality for the people of Somaliland.

  • Empowerment of Women: Increased female leadership contributes to more diverse perspectives in healthcare decision-making.
