The PSPH project, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by the Somali Research and Development Institute (SORDI) and DT Global, recently supported Al Assima Hospital in launching a vital health outreach program in Galmudug from November 8 to November 15, 2024. This initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services, including Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) care and Obstetrics/Gynecology (Obs & Gyn) services, to the local population. The outreach not only focused on treating patients but also sought to establish stronger healthcare connections in the region for future improvements.
By addressing immediate health needs and fostering collaboration among local healthcare providers, this program represents a significant step toward enhancing healthcare access in Somalia’s underserved areas. The PSPH project is dedicated to improving health systems and ensuring that vulnerable populations can access quality and affordable healthcare services. Through such initiatives, SORDI continues its commitment to building a more resilient healthcare framework across Somalia.
