RAAD Pathology & Medical Services, in collaboration with the Somali Research and Development Institute (SORDI), which is part of the Private Sector Partnership in Health (PSPH), is taking a significant step toward improving cancer diagnostics in Somaliland. Through a strategic product launch and networking event at Damal Hotel in Hargeisa, RAAD reaffirmed its commitment to expanding access to modern diagnostic tools and strengthening healthcare systems.
The event brought together healthcare professionals, government representatives, civil society leaders, and international stakeholders to discuss key advancements in cancer screening. A strong focus was placed on non-invasive diagnostic techniques, referral system improvements, and early detection initiatives—all vital to ensuring timely and effective medical care

Participants acknowledged RAAD’s innovative approach to pathology and diagnostics, recognizing its crucial role in improving healthcare delivery and increasing the accessibility of cancer screening services. A recurring theme throughout the discussions was the importance of expanding RAAD’s reach, particularly to underserved communities, as a means to promote equitable healthcare.
This initiative is part of the PSPH project, led by DT Global in partnership with SORDI and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH). Through these collaborations, RAAD continues to drive forward progress in cancer diagnostics, enabling more patients to receive timely, quality care while strengthening Somaliland’s medical infrastructure.
RAAD’s expansion efforts reflect its ongoing dedication to transforming healthcare accessibility. By advancing diagnostic capabilities and fostering partnerships, RAAD is paving the way for a future where early cancer detection is more widespread, leading to better patient outcomes across Somaliland.
