The Somali Research and Development Institute (SORDI) successfully conducted a joint training on customer care at Dhoolayare Hotel in Hargeisa. This event brought together a diverse group of participants from newer interventions, such as Needle, as well as other established programs. The training aimed to improve customer service practices in the healthcare and service industries by providing participants with essential skills and strategies.

The training was structured into interactive sessions that encouraged active participation and hands-on learning. Key areas covered included effective communication, active listening, empathy, handling challenging customer interactions, cultural sensitivity, and delivering service excellence. Through group discussions, role-playing exercises, and case study analysis, participants demonstrated enthusiasm and a strong commitment to applying the knowledge gained.

The positive feedback received from participants highlighted the relevance and effectiveness of the training. Many attendees emphasized the practical value of the skills and strategies shared during the sessions, expressing their eagerness to implement them in their respective organizations. This enthusiasm underscores the importance of conducting similar workshops to continuously improve customer care practices across various sectors.
