The Somali Research and Development Institute (SORDI) hosted a successful Joint Hospital Management Training in Borame. This event brought together key stakeholders from various healthcare institutions in the region, aiming to enhance their management capabilities and improve hospital administration.

Participants in the training represented different hospitals in Borame, including Adal Hospital, Awdal Hospital, and Hidig International Hospital. The attendees included Hospital Directors, Managers, Pharmacy In-Charge Managers, Laboratory Managers, and Head Nurses and Midwives. Notably, the majority of the attendees were female, reflecting the strong representation of women in hospital management roles.

The training covered a wide range of essential topics for effective hospital management, including Leadership and Governance in Healthcare, Operational Efficiency, Financial and Resource Management, Quality Assurance and Patient Safety, and Interdepartmental Coordination. The interactive sessions ensured active participation and engagement, making the training a highly productive and enriching experience.

The participants expressed their commitment to applying the skills and knowledge gained in their respective institutions. They also agreed to maintain close collaboration with the trainers to ensure effective implementation of the best practices discussed during the sessions.

The Joint Hospital Management Training in Borame was a successful initiative that brought together key hospital management personnel to enhance their operational capabilities. The active participation and enthusiasm displayed by the attendees highlighted the importance of continuous learning in the healthcare sector. Moving forward, the hospitals will work closely with trainers to reinforce and sustain the improvements introduced during the training.
