Bar ama Baro Evaluation Dissemination Workshop

On 9 November 2023, SORDI organised a research dissemination workshop in Mogadishu to share the findings of a multi-year external evaluation of the Bar ama Baro (BaB) Accelerated Basic Education programme, conducted as part of the LASER PULSE evaluation team. The workshop brought together Benadir-area teachers, headteachers, and Community Education Committee members, alongside Ministry of Education representatives and the USAID Somalia mission. SORDI researchers presented the evaluation's findings on the effectiveness of the Bar ama Baro model, and participants discussed implications for student retention, transition pathways into formal schooling, and future programme improvements.
