Bar ama Baro Endline Findings Validation and Dissemination Workshop

On 27 February 2024, SORDI, as part of the LASER PULSE evaluation team, presented the endline findings of the Bar ama Baro (BaB) external evaluation at a workshop held at the Zebra Conference Room, International Compound, Mogadishu. The workshop opened with remarks from the Director General of the TVET department at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education (MoECHE), who highlighted the programme's contribution to literacy, local teacher recruitment, and access to education for marginalised groups. SORDI researchers then presented the evaluation findings, prompting discussion among USAID, implementing partners, and ministry representatives on key recommendations, including improving teacher quality and incentives, strengthening coordination mechanisms, ensuring quality assurance, fostering safe school environments, and prioritising beneficiary engagement and programme sustainability.
